Smith Center - Kenneth L. Mankhey, 94, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Smith County Memorial Hospital - Long Term Care.
Kenneth was born September 2, 1922 in Smith County, KS, the son of Roy Henry and Edna Mae (Jones) Mankhey. He was a heavy equipment mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan (Tuxhorn) Mankhey, two brothers, Carroll and Jerome Mankhey and a sister, Malinda Moore.
Kenneth is survived by two sisters, Glenda Arment and Joann Reid both of Smith Center; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Mankhey of Smith Center and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center, KS, with Pastor Lance McDowell officiating. There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorials may be given to Hospice Services of Smith County and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
