Kensington - Rosalie (Rosie) Dianne Spindler, 79, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Kensington, KS.
Rosie was born February 14, 1940 in Kirksville, MO, the eldest daughter of William Curtis and Rosalie (Barnett) Spindler.
Rosie was a very talented lady from the smallest crochet items, sewing doll clothes, painting, gardening and photography. She loved the times she could travel with her special friend Charlie.
She was a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts, and served as a leader in Kansas City Kansas and Kensington, Kansas.
Rosie worked at the Kansas City, Kansas post office for many years, was also a fuel tank driver for Standard Oil and retired from Associated Grocers in Kansas City. But her favorite job was working as a part time office assistant at USD 110 Thunder Ridge in Kensington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and special friend Charlie Hunt.
Rosie is survived by her two sisters, Delores (Dalen) Ratliff, Deborah (John) Dick all of Kensington, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her "closest friend", her dog Dot.
A Celebration of Rosie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, Smith Center, KS. There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorials may be given to Rosalie Dianne Spindler Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
