Norton - Amanda Willmes, 37, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at her home in Norton, KS.
She was born on October 11, 1979 in Cheyenne, OK, the daughter of Evelyn (Fredde) Paden Amanda grew up in Norton, KS, and attended Norton USD 211 schools. She received her nursing degree from Colby Community College in 2000.
Amanda loved spending time with her children, Zachery, Jesse & Eden. She also enjoyed spending time with her mother and her six sisters, Lesa, Tonya, Jane, Robin, Mary, Holly and her brother Shane. She loved pink roses, butterflies, solar lights and cats. Her favorite holiday was Halloween.
She is survived by her mother Evelyn Paden of Norton; two sons, Zachery Combs of Norton, Jesse Courtain of Chesapeake, VA; a daughter Eden Nickell of Norton; one brother, Shane McGinley of Topeka; six sisters, Lesa Field of Wichita, Tonya Monroe of Denver, CO; Jane Vineyard of Wichita, Robin Akins of Norton, Mary Benoit of Damar and Holly Horn of Havensville.
Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Iva Fredde, an infant sister Patricia, her aunt Ruth and two cousins, Richard and Susan. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of Amanda's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Living Hope and Fellowship Church, 16014 PDRA Rd., Norton, KS, with Pastor Jerry Cummings officiating.
