Smith Center - Opal Hall, 86, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Smith County Memorial Hospital, Smith Center, KS.
Opal was born September 23, 1930 in Esbon, KS, the daughter of Nelson Pearl and Nellie Irene (Cartwright) Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Rachel Smith, Dorothy Steinshower, Thelma Mahlman and Helen Anderson.
Opal is survived by her husband Eddie Hall of Smith Center; a son, Lynn (Judy) Hall of Smith Center; a daughter, Regi (Dave) Conaway of Smith Center; a sister, Pearl June Carter of Colorado Springs, CO; a special friend and brother-in-law, Burl Hall of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Karen Flint of Downs; seven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
A celebration of Opal's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, Smith Center, KS, with Pastor Lance McDowell officiating. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 with family present from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. until service time Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Esbon Cemetery, Esbon, KS. Memorials may be given to USD 237 School Channel 165 in care of the funeral chapel.
