Gaylord - David Guidry, 53, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his home in Gaylord, KS.
He was born April 10, 1963 in Arnaudville, LA, the youngest son of John B. and Evelyn (Knott) Guidry. David loved to hunt and spent as much time as possible doing so.
Survivors include three brothers, Roy Guidry and his wife, Mona, of Arnaudville, Douglas Guidry of Gaylord, KS and Donald Guidry of Pineville; five sisters, Rose Stoute and her husband, Noah, Marie Stelly all of Arnaudville, Elsie Leger and her husband, Erick, of Sunset, Linda Quebedeaux of Arnaudville and Lisa Guidry of MN; two step brothers, Tom Courville and his wife, Mary, and Jeff Courville and his wife, Martha, all of Lafayette; one step sister, Shirley Bourque and her husband, Ted, of Lafayette; his former spouse, Rita; her two sons, Daniel Bourgeois and Ethan Bourgeois; and a many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Guidry and the former Evelyn Knott; one brother, Larry Guidry; his stepmother, Laurence Courville Guidry; three brothers-in-law, LeeRoy Stelly, Sr., Ronald Quebedeaux and Robert Kidder; and one sister-in-law, Deanna Huval Guidry.
A celebration of David's life was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, Smith Center, KS. There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen. Inurnment took place in Arnaudville, LA. Memorials may be given to the David Guidry Memorial Fund in care of the funeral chapel.
